A one-stop centre for diagnosis and treatment of:
- Varicose veins
- Spider veins
Understanding
the condition
Spider veins and Varicose veins are abnormally swollen or
enlarged blood vessels in the leg caused by the weakening in the
vein's wall. Apart from being cosmetically unpleasant, varicose
veins in their advance stages can be harmful to a patient's health,
because they may be associated with the development of one or more
of the following conditions: inflamed tender vein, blood clot in the
vein, and skin ulcers.
Treatment: A
simple outpatient procedure
The Vein Clinic is a one-stop medical service centre that caters
to the management of all stages of vein disorder; from diagnosis to
laser elimination of spider veins to non-surgical treatment of the
more serious varicose veins. Our services include:
- Ultrasound conducted by surgeon
- Endovenous Laser (EVLT) Technique
- Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
- Micro-Sclerotherapy with Vein-lite
- Mini-Ambulatory Phlebectomy
- Intense Pulse Light
- Polaris Laser
- Veinwave
Endovenous
Laser (EVLT)
The use of lasers has become an accepted alternative to surgical
stripping to remove varicose veins. The procedure, termed the
Endovenous Laser Technique (EVLT), is performed under local
anesthesia. A tiny laser fiber is first inserted into the diseased
vein through a tiny opening in the skin. Laser energy is then
delivered through the fiber, which causes the vein to close as the
fiber is gradually removed.

Advantages
- Office procedure
- Minimal discomfort/ pain
- No downtime. Patient can return to normal activity immediately
- No anesthesia or hospitalization needed
- No incision/ scar mark

Ultrasound
Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a technique that involves the use of a very fine
needle to inject a solution, called a sclerosant, directly into the
veins. The solution causes the lining of the vein wall to swell,
which eventually seals off the blood vessel. Ultrasound Guided
Sclerotherapy uses hi-tech ultrasound machines to provide a visual
window, so that medication can be administered onto precise
locations in the vein. This method is effective only for smaller
veins and branching veins.
Micro-Sclerotherapy
with Vein-Lite
Vein-lite
is a special imaging device that uses Advanced Transillumination
Technology to visualize veins. The Vein Clinic utilizes Vein-lite to
find those hard-to-locate spider veins during Micro-Sclerotherapy,
in order to achieve accurate elimination of these veins.

Light, Laser & Microwave
For even smaller and finer thread veins, The Vein Clinic has
three advance machines that can effectively treat such conditions.
Each of the three machines uses a different medium to heat up and
coagulate the thread vein and ultimately eliminate these unsightly
veins.
These three machines enable the clinic to treat patients of all
skin types.
-
INTENSE PULSE LIGHT - engages pulse light energy
-
POLARIS LASER - uses a combination of Bi-Polar Radio Frequency
and high power Diode LASER
-
VEINWAVE - refers to the use of high frequency microwave energy
